Paper Size
Choose a preset or enter custom dimensions. The preset sets both width and height instantly.
| Preset | Width | Height |
|---|---|---|
| Letter | 8.5 in | 11 in |
| A4 | 8.27 in | 11.69 in |
| Legal | 8.5 in | 14 in |
| Custom | Enter your own | Enter your own |
When you select Custom, the Width and Height fields become editable. Each field has a unit selector that supports in, mm, cm, pt, and px. Changing the unit converts the existing value automatically so the physical size stays the same.
Orientation
| Option | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Portrait | Taller than wide. Default for invoices, contracts, and letters. |
| Landscape | Wider than tall. Suited for wide tables or comparison layouts. |
Switching orientation swaps the width and height values. A warning banner appears at the top of the panel to remind you that changing orientation creates a new template version.
Margins
Margins set the empty space between the edge of the page and your content. There are three input modes:
| Mode | What it controls |
|---|---|
| All | One value applies to all four sides equally. |
| V / H | Two values: one for top and bottom (vertical), one for left and right (horizontal). |
| Sides | Four independent values: Top, Right, Bottom, Left. |
The default margin is 1 in on all sides. The unit selector supports the same units as the dimension fields. Switching between modes remembers the values you entered in each mode separately.
Page Numbering
Toggle Enable page numbers to add automatic page numbers to the PDF.
Position
Choose where the page number appears on every page:
| Row | Options |
|---|---|
| Header | Header left, Header center, Header right |
| Footer | Footer left, Footer center, Footer right |
Default position: Footer center.
Format
Choose how the page number is displayed. The example below shows what each format prints on page 3 of a 10-page document:
| Format | Example output |
|---|---|
| 1 | 3 |
| Page 1 | Page 3 |
| 1 / N | 3 / 10 |
| Page 1 of N | Page 3 of 10 |
Default format: Page 1 of N.
Live Preview
The right half of the Page Setup tab shows a scaled preview of the page. It reflects the current paper size, orientation, and margins in real time. The page number position and format are also shown in the preview when page numbering is enabled.
